About The Blog Now

The Hurricane Screamer Blog is run by David M. Hartzell and discusses a bunch of topics, including (but not limited to)

  • Tropical news, especially as it relates to St. Simons Island and the Golden Isles of Georgia;
  • Personal views, such as things going on in my life, photos posts, political opinions, how far I rode my bike, and even less important personal things;
  • Kitty mews, sharing my activities with Cat Junction, and other cat-related stuff;
  • HUD-1 blues, such as any new releases, bug reports, news on development of the Form Foundation, and relevant web sites;
  • and the always exciting Whatever, which means almost anything.

You can register on this site to make comments, but sock puppets will be detected and banned.

Comments are welcome, but moderated. I reserve the right to delete or retain any comments. I take no responsibility whatsoever for any comments made on this site. Do not expect me to apologize for or to explain any comment and do not equate the comments made by others as my own statements. If you do not like this policy, then don’t post comments here.

If you want to post new entries, you must join the blog as an Editor. Joining is not so easy, as I insist that I meet you personally, and then we’ll see if you measure up to my standards.

The current list of Editors consist of a liberal, a moderate, and a conservative-leaning moderate ranging in age from 21 to 48. You can watch as their political opinions clash!

Other than all that, the blog is meant for fun, so I insist that you have FUN!

About the Blog before

The blog was first located at blog.hud-1.net, but due to some FTP funkiness on the part of my web host, had to be retired. That blog was composed and posted by Thingamablog, an open-source web log authoring program based on Java.

The blog was moved to its new home in December, 2006 and is now based on WordPress. As time passes, I mean to change the theme of the blog so that it matches the rest of the HUD-1 web site, and play around with WordPress so that I can do other things.
